I’m Emma, I’m 22, and I have an Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified. It pretty much means I don’t fit a certain category of Eating Disorders but have episodes of Binge Eating and Compulsive Overeating.
I’ve spent my life trying to lose weight, succeeding and failing on so many occasions that I am officially a yo-yo dieter. I’m on a mission to ditch the diets and attempt to boost my body image by convincing myself that maybe I’m not too bad, just as I am, Bridget-Jones-style.
There are a lot of women, and men, out there who have crash-dieted, cried at their own reflection and felt like they needed to change their weight in order to be accepted. Trust me, I’ve been there. And I’m a tad sick of it. So I’m tracking my attempts at convincing myself that curvy women can be healthy and happy with a little junk in their trunk, and also to educate people about the lesser publicised over-eating disorders.
