Use Portion Control For Treating Anorexia

Controlling your portions is the number way to help with treating anorexia. You absolutely have to start when recovering from an eating disorder such as anorexia. Remember that as this eating disorder progressed, food became the enemy somewhere along the lines. So in order to win food over as a friend to someone with anorexia, you have to start small and convince this person that trying a little bit at a time is ok. That the food does not harm the body and it will be ok so long as they eat the food in the portions provided. Let them know that it is ok to go out with friends and family and ordering nothing but fruit if they want to. So long as they are indeed ordering and eating the food. If you start with small portions there is no presence of being overwhelmed but a ton of food on your plate.
