Some eating disorders can be explained as being “genetic”. It can be the fact that one or both of a child’s parents suffered from an eating disorder. This is turn, puts their child at risk for developing the same kind of problems. Have you ever wondered why some parents are so strict on what their children eat? I know that you are thinking it is because they just want them to be as healthy as possible, and that may be true, but some parent may go a little too far with this particular trial. Some parents, who suffered from eating disorders themselves, often try to make their children out to be very different from them, but in doing so, they may be harming their child. They make only feed their child a little, thinking that by not letting them overeat, that they will be able to look thin and be accepted by everyone else.
