Keep your weight during the holidays

The holiday season is fast approaching, and coupled with the holidays is one thing that almost everyone dreads and loves at the same time–food. Indeed, food has already become synonymous to holidays. It seems that everyone simply loves eating more than the usual during the holidays. It would have been more acceptable if the food consists of healthy selections, such as fruits and vegetables. But unfortunately, sinful pleasures seem to be the food theme during Christmas. And of course, if there is a higher food intake, then there is also the feared weight gain. Luckily, there are ways in which you can avoid gaining weight and still enjoy the overflowing food and booze during the holidays. One way is to pass up the alcoholic beverages. Opt for healthier alternatives, such as juice or simply water. If you are planning to go to some Christmas party, then it is advisable to show up in the event after you had your meal. This way, you show up not feeling hungry, lessening your tendency to overeat. Lastly, do not abandon your exercise routine during the holidays. If you can’t go to the gym, then at least do some simple exercises at home or around the neighborhood. Even walking around the mall while doing your holiday shopping is already enough exercise.
