Paying for ED Treatment

Eating disorder treatment is expensive. Even intensive outpatient treatment programs, with anywhere from 12-30 hours of treatment each week, normally for eight to 12 weeks, cost: about $14,000.
"There is a huge need for outpatient treatment and inpatient treatment," said Beth Lyons, a psychologist who treats women with eating disorders. "It is the most deadly psychological illness, and often it's not covered at all (by insurance) or it's covered very poorly."
I am trying to provide some information on places that can help pay for treatment as I come across them. Today’s resources include:
Restoration Inc. of Memphis, TN is dedicated to helping women in need of intensive outpatient treatment for eating disorders to be able to afford the cost of treatment. The only treatment center nationally certified to provide this treatment to the Memphis community is the Transformation Center for Women.
Lifeline Foundation for Eating Disorders, Central Texas is building the Haven, a residential inpatient center. To date, over 100 acres of land has been donated and many other services and funds. The opening date has not yet been announced, but is going to operate as a non-profit organization. To learn more about Lifelines, go to www.lfed.org.
