Nicole....lack of menstrual
Nicole....lack of menstrual cycles indicates a loss of ovulation, therefore loss of healthy hormone production. Every woman is sensitive in different areas, as far as when or if damage will occur. For me, with my long bout with anorexia, I didn't menstruate for 33 years, but when I regained my weight to a near healthy point, I DID begin to menstruate again. But that doesn't always mean that ovulation is occuring. So any time of ammenorhea could be a risk for your fertility, so I would recommend seeing your GYN, and working to recover your weight to a healthy point for your body. Good luck! Jan L.
