I have been anorexic for about 2 years, and I've already recovered from it, but I'm getting worried. Something is wrong with my stomach. Has anyone else had problems feeling hungry when they need to eat and full when they are eating?

After one has been in

After one has been in treatment for an eating disorder, particularly anorexia, it may take considerable time for your body to re-learn the natural hunger cues that people without eating disorders base their eating on. The anxiety that is associated with food/eating, takes time to decrease, so it may be that while you say you are "recovered", your body's physiology is still healing. I would recommend that you stick closely to whatever eating plan that is keeping you in recovery, and be "mechanical" about your eating. In time, you will be able to feel natural hunger and "fullness" in a more normal way.

Thank you, so very much. I

Thank you, so very much. I didn't know where to turn, my parents didn't know, only friends. I'm only 14, I had no one to take me to a doctor...I can not convey to you how much I appreciate this. If I could hug you i would. Thank you SO much.

Hug greatly appreciated and

Hug greatly appreciated and accepted!! I am quite a "hugger" myself. It's a great way to show someone that you "have their back". I am always careful though, to ask if it's OK to give a hug, because some people have issues with touch, etc., due to past abuse or trauma issues. I hope that you are able to reach out to someone you can trust who is able to take you to the doctor, and/or help you find the help you need. Please keep writing here, and let me know how you are doing. Please don't delay in getting help. Believe me, you don't want to go through life, barely living, and be 46 years old before you find the key to breaking free from you eating disorder!! HUGS to you.....
