Hi Jamie...This medication
Hi Jamie...This medication has proven to be quite effective in helping people with depression and sleep issues (since it's taken at bedtime). For some people, it can increase the appetite, but that isn't always the case. It's sometimes unclear whether the decrease in depression helps a person with eating issues of if it's truly the medication affecting one's appetite. I would encourage you to give it a fair attempt, with your doctor's supervision. We use it conservatively in the treatment center where I work when it seems warranted for depression.
I hope this proves to be helpful for you!

Thank you so much for your reply. At first, I think I was just thinking about it too much, and I wasn't really all that comfortable with taking something like this, but now I feel better about taking it... I just have to give it a try... Thank you... jamierae
